Activities in the classroom 课室里的点点滴滴 !


时间飞逝的很快,在新学校教书已接近两个月了,忙,是近来对我最贴切的形容词,但我却非常乐在其中!我很清楚知道我很喜欢教书,和学生们互动!虽然不同的环境,有不同的挑战,但在那么多人,事,物的支持与鼓励下,我相信挑战是可以被一一克服的!

以下只是这两个月在课室的一些小活动!
当然我并非每堂课都是这样,当然也有不太顺利,也有非常传统的教学方式!

活动一: 闭上眼睛幻想!

我在历史课时,由于天气太热,加上刚刚休息节,学生都特别的活跃,为了让学生“Cool down” ,我让他们闭上眼睛,然后,让他们听我的声音,根据我所说的东西,然后用想象力去想象!(这堂课我让他们想象他们自己乘上了时光机,带他们回到过去,他们去了三个时代;我融合每个时代的一个特点,让他们去想象)


                             
   这活动大概5分钟左右,太久学生会不小心睡着!不过这活动后,学生都能静下来听课!

We are learning "Zaman Prasejarah di Malaysia". It was a hot day and my lesson was right after the recess, so the students are  super active after the meal, so I started my lesson with the "imagine"activity. I asked them to close their eyes and imagine about the different era according to how i described. This activity turns them into silent and switch on their prepare mode in learning the new chapter. ( This activity cannot exceed 5 minutes, or else students may fall to sleep)   


活动二: 设计手册

为了让学生能结合创意,历史,和笔记!我决定让他们设计属于他们的手册。我称这个手册为“Risalah Zaman Prasejarah"! 我发现尤其是后段班的学生都很爱涂涂画画!所以大部分都可以完成这手册! 
(这活动满耗时,用了两节的时间;不过看得出学生很喜欢)

Students especially those from weaker class will engage in the lesson  well when the lesson involves them to use their hand to do something. They enjoyed drawing, colouring their own pamphlet.    


Phamplet on "Zaman Pra-sejarah" designed by one of the students!  

"Risalah Zaman Prasejarah " that contains important notes about the three Pre-historical era in Malaysia. 
 
Students are creating their pamphlet on "Zaman Paleolitik , Neolitik and Logam" . This activity integrates students creativity, art into history. This also makes the history notes do not look dull and boring !   


活动三: 小纸条!

由于我还无法一一记得所有学生的名字,所有就开始这小纸条活动, 我让学生把名字,生日日期及爱看的电影或节目卸载小纸条上,然后收集在小罐子里!那我就可以抽签的方式叫某位学生来回答!(有时会以生日日期,或电影)

Because i still can't remember all my students name, so i decided to ask them to write their name, birthday and favorite movie/show on a piece of colour paper  and keep it in a small container. I will randomly draw a name or based on birthday or even favorite movie to call a student to answer the question.      

Here is the containers, now i only manage to do it with 4 classes, there are still two more classes i haven't start this yet! 


活动四:

我让学生分成四个人一组,然后每组得到一张白纸,我给两个问题,学生回答并把答案写在纸上!然后,可以设计各自的答案纸,完成后将答案纸贴在墙上!

过后,我让每一组在一分钟里去找其他组的错误,然后圈出错误的地方,目的是要让他们能去找出他人的错出,并从错误中学习!                                      

Students are divided into 4 people per group. They need to answer two mathematics questions and write down the solution on a piece of paper, they can decorate the paper according to their preference. After that, they need to paste the paper on the notice board.

Peer checking- Each group will have one minute to check other group answer, they are required to circle out the mistake in our group! (The aim of the activity is using the peer checking and also encourage students to learn by identifying the mistake)  




活动五:
我用不同的形状来让学生学习分数!其中一个活动是把正确的形状贴在对的分数上!用时间限制会让他们更快完成任务!

Using different shapes in teaching fraction. One of the activities involves is match the fraction and paste it on the correct column on white board. (adding time limit will push them to finish the task faster)  


活动六:跑站游戏

我把学生分成九组,共有九个站。每组会在一个站,每个站有特定的数学题目,学生必须在两分钟内解答数学题,听到闹钟响,就必须顺时钟往下一个站!所得到的答案必须写在所给的纸上,结束后交给我改(如果有时间,就好当天讨论所有的答案)

This is a station games concept. Students divided into group of four, there are nine stations in total. Students are given two minutes in tackling the questions in each station. Once the alarm ring, they  need to move to another station(clockwise) and start to work on another questions in the stations.
